Stars & Lavender by JINELLYCAKES

We had 2 birthday clients here at Jinellycakes this week. After creating the Iron Man theme for a little boy, I created a girlier theme for a young lady celebrating 11 years! Her favorite color is lavender and she loves stars, so I incorporated both in her design. She ordered vanilla, chooclate and red velvet for her classmates and teachers at school, so that she could celebrate her birthday during lunch. The best part for me, was when she called to tell me how much she and all her friends loved the cupcakes and that chocolate was her favorite! Have a look at this special girls birthday cupcakes:

Iron Man Cupcakes by JINELLYCAKES

This week I had the pleasure of creating IRON MAN themed cupcakes for a little boys birthday.
His mom ordered them so that he could celebrate his birthday at school with his classmates and teachers.

Cupcakes are perfect for the classroom setting because no knife is
required, and there's less cleanup - no forks or plates to throw away!

Have a look our video gallery:

multiple orders| positive feedback| blog re-design

Since opening a few weeks ago, this was my first week of completing multiple orders within one day. Chocolate, red velvet and lots of vanilla were baked and delievered yesterday. Although at the end of the day my feet and back were killing me, it was all worth it in the end when I got phone calls from clients today with positive feedback on their orders. :) My favorite phone call being the one from the 11 year old young lady who celebrated her birthday at school today with my cupcakes. She told me her favorite was the chocolate!

In celebration I've changed the look of the blog - just a little.

Now that Valentines Day has come and gone, I'm currently working on additional flavors to add to the shop - very exciting!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Happy Valentines Day + an update on nationwide shipping

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Although nationwide shipping isn't technically available as yet, I had to make an exception for a lovely aquaintance that needed a Valentines Day order shipped to Washington DC. Not only was I able to have cupcakes at her doorstep, this was a great opportunity to test out the process and get some feedback. For now I've decided to ship the cupcakes un-frosted with the frosting in a seperate container in fear that the cupcakes would look like a disaster upon arrival...

Our packaging is very simple, clean and fresh!

Feel free to stop by the Jinellycakes Feedback Page for a review of the shipment!
